The staff was very helpful and friendly, and there are convenient bus shuttles available for cheap transportation to the airport. The hostel was also kept very clean, which was a definite plus.

That the facilities for showering didn't have any space to leave our belongings, which made it a bit cumbersome. there were some instances where other guests didn't follow proper hostel etiquette, which made the crowded rooms less enjoyable.

The free parking is a huge plus in a city where parking is expensive and hard to find. The location is amazing, with great views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay, and Alcatraz Island. The hostel is within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf, and you can even hire bikes to ride to the Golden Gate Bridge. The hostel offers free printing and has stamps for sending mail. The breakfast is basic but enjoyable, with fresh made bread, peanut butter and jelly, apples, granola. The hostel also has a pool table and ample space in the lunchroom.

I had an amazing stay at Hi San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf! The free parking and breakfast were such a pleasant surprise. The location was perfect with breathtaking views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The comfortable bedding made for a restful sleep. The friendly roommates added to the wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hostel.
